about
Trading the mountains for the big city, his journey began at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where he cut his teeth making short films and directing music videos.
After making a series of spec commercials for MTV, he landed in the VH1 On-Air Creative department where he wrote and directed numerous award-winning campaigns with talents like T.I., Jessica Simpson, Terrell Owens, Fergie, Swizz Beatz, Fall Out Boy, and Michael Strahan among others.
As both a Live-Action Director and Creative Director, he has made spots for Fortune 500 clients like AT&T, Fiat, Toyota, Dominos, Pepsi, Nestle, P&G, and the NFL to name a few. When he is not behind the camera, he is immersed in conceptual work and big ideas.
He is a self confessed tech nerd. Can he code your magic eight ball app?
Signs point to yes.
You can often find him sailing, surfing, climbing, boxing, fly fishing or just about any adventure he can survive.
His treehouse is in NYC.
Approach
Experience design and storytelling play a crucial role in every phase of my process.
My rule of thumb: Every interaction should have utility and purpose. Constraints and obstacles amplify the creative. They let us know exactly what we are trying to achieve and open the door to be bold, iterate and execute decisively no matter what is thrown our way. So I love everything that happens.
The best creative comes from a team. When we band together, it helps us embrace the unfamiliar, reduce complexity and deliver something badass.
In my 10+ years experience working from network rebrands to campaign launches, even complicated co-branded partnerships, only one fact remains true. Fried chicken is delicious.
